Senior Structural Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Structural Engineer to join a well-established, growing engineering consultancy in their Bridgend office.

The successful senior structural engineer will have the opportunity to work within a wide range of sectors within the building sector including commercial, residential, and industrial.

1. Lead the design and analysis of various structural projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
2. Oversee the work of junior engineers and provide mentorship and guidance.
3. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
4. Participate in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required including estimating timescales and costs for proposed works.
5. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
6. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
2. Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
3. Minimum of 7 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
4. Strong expertise in structural design software.
5. Proven experience in managing and delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
6. In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills.
8. Strong problem-solving ability and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
