Job Description

Role Title - Senior Supply Chain Manager
Salary - £68,000 - £90,000 (DOE)
Locations - Derby, Warrington OR Manchester (Hybrid)

We are recruiting for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to be involved in an industry leading, cutting-edge project for a new type of power station. The role provides the unique opportunity to work in an exciting new nuclear age engaging and working with strategic customers, suppliers and partners, developing meaningful relationships with some of the largest entities across the globe.

Role Purpose

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager within Rolls Royce SMR's Supply Chain team, you will develop, deploy and communicate relevant supply chain strategies (Partnership and Commodity), providing a clear vision and strategic framework for the designated supply chain(s). Establish and lead cross functional purchasing teams, creating and sustaining the right collaborative environment to ensure that the strategies and the execution of meet the needs of current and future business programmes.

Role Requirements

You will have experience in a "front line" operations, procurement or supply chain delivery role achieving success with challenging objectives in tight timescales.

  • Focus ideally would be cross functional including strategy, commercials, project management, regulation, logistics, physical goods and full supply chain solutions.
  • Technical experience in one or more of the following: civils and construction, EC&I, steam-turbines/power generation, heavy pressure vessels, modular processing plant build, nuclear fuel, nuclear commodities/components, validation testing.
  • Experience in deploying a framework to develop specific strategies to achieve business needs recognising global opportunities, differing regulatory environments and the implementation of best practice into the supply chain strategy.
  • Experience in managing supplier or partner organisations to lead and influence an optimal solution for the business to include highly regulatory environments such as nuclear, power generation, civils and construction.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and use a variety of styles to engage internally within SMR and also represent the business with external bodies including governments and funding organisations.
  • Managing teams with a focus on the development of a business facing, high performing supply chain team, through coaching and mentoring. Developing a continuous improvement culture that challenges and reviews activities, behaviours, policies and procedures to capture, share and implement learnings.
Training and Qualification Requirements
  • Essential Degree or Equivalent
  • Ideal MCIPS qualified
  • Ideal APM accreditation
  • Relevant Engineering including nuclear qualification would be beneficial

Pay and Benefits

We anticipate paying a salary between £68,000 - £90,000 Dependant on Experience

  • Bonus - Short Term Incentive - Performance Based- target opportunity 17%
  • Benefits Allowance - £5,000, enabling you to create a bespoke package
  • Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
  • Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
