We are looking for a Senior Surveyor to drive our strategic property initiatives, ensuring they align with our wider development vision and council objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement acquisition and disposal strategies to maximise value and support long-term growth.
2. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and professional development.
3. Oversee the entire development lifecycle-from site identification to project completion-ensuring efficiency, budget adherence, and regulatory compliance.
4. Conduct market research and property appraisals to identify opportunities and provide strategic insights.
5. Lead complex negotiations with landowners, developers, and stakeholders to secure optimal terms.
6. Manage property disposals, marketing strategies, and financial returns for the Council.
7. Provide expert advice on property valuation, development appraisals, and risk mitigation.
8. Ensure compliance with planning laws, building regulations, and other relevant legislation.

What We're Looking For:

1. Proven experience in property acquisitions, disposals, and strategic asset management.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of fostering high-performing teams.
3. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best outcomes for the organisation.
4. In-depth knowledge of property market trends, valuation, and financial modelling.
5. Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relating to property transactions.
6. Ability to prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior decision-makers.
