About Us

At Henry Schein One UK, we are a tech company with a mission to redefine dental care, creating a future where personalised, AI-driven treatment and intelligent practice management come together to enhance patient care and build a thriving dental practice.
We're innovators, relentless in our pursuit of customer success and constantly pushing the boundaries of the possible to create world-class SaaS products.

Culture matters to us. Celebrated as one of the 'Sunday Times UK's Best Places to Work' companies, our culture as an inclusive and forward-thinking company means we are committed to creating an environment that values diversity and flexibility and promotes equal opportunities for everyone.

Product Development Culture

We are problem solvers, not ticket takers.
We champion creative problem-solving and value autonomy, trust, and impactful outcomes over rigid processes. Delivering improvements rapidly, we engage in iterative 6-week cycles, addressing user needs and enabling technical innovation - balancing technical debt, bugs, and team growth. We are a continuous delivery focused group, shipping changes to production 150+ times per month.

At our core is the customer. Every solution we deliver is crafted with customer success in mind, building relationships that go beyond transactions and ensuring that as team members, we all prioritise customer success in every aspect of our work.

How You'll Make An Impact

As our first dedicated UX Researcher, you will be responsible for establishing and embedding a research practice from the ground up. You'll balance hands-on research with operationalising research across teams.

Your research will directly shape our core SaaS product's (Dentally) strategy across multiple regions, including the UK, Canada, and Australia. You'll set up research tooling, build a research repository, and establish best practices, ensuring research is efficient, scalable, and deeply integrated into decision-making. You will also evangelise UX-focused KPIs such as CSAT, CES and NPS to ensure they're well understood and are a valuable source of insight for all teams.

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work flexibly from anywhere in the UK!

About The Team

At Henry Schein One UK, we take a collaborative approach to product development, where UX Research, Product Management, Design and Engineering collaborate closely to solve real-world problems. Initially, you'll join a specialist team focusing on enhancing Dentally's scalability, usability, and overall user experience.

You will report to our Head of Product Design, integrating qualitative and quantitative insights into our Product Development strategy. As we expand our research capabilities, you'll educate and mentor teams on conducting effective research, ensuring insights drive both product development and business strategy.

What You'll Do
  • Lead all UX research initiatives, helping to further integrate research into our product development process.
  • Set up and operationalise research, empowering teams to run their own research while focusing your efforts on high-impact strategic studies.
  • Design and conduct a range of qualitative and quantitative research studies, including usability testing, concept validation, diary studies, and large-scale surveys.
  • Build and maintain research tooling and processes, creating efficiencies in participant recruitment, consent management, and documentation.
  • Partner with our Community Manager to create and maintain user panels for beta testing and ongoing research engagement.
  • Establish and maintain a research repository, making insights easily accessible and reusable across teams.
  • Advocate for research across the organisation, bringing our customers' experiences to life and educating stakeholders on best practices and demonstrating its value in driving business and product decisions.
  • Mentor Product Managers and Designers in research methods, helping them conduct their own studies where appropriate.
  • Be hands-on and strategic, balancing in-depth research with efforts to scale research practices efficiently across teams.
What You'll Bring With You
  • 5 or more years of experience conducting or overseeing UX research in product-focused teams or organisations, ideally in an early-stage practice.
  • Proven track record in setting up and scaling research, including Research Ops.
  • A range of qualitative research techniques, including usability testing, concept validation, diary studies, attitudinal/behavioural research, and large-scale surveys.
  • Ability to analyse and integrate qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Skilled in helping teams to self-serve on lower-risk tasks.
  • Experience managing research repositories and sharing insights effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate findings impactfully.
  • Passion for mentoring and embedding research within teams.
  • Adaptable and autonomous, balancing hands-on research with scaling impact.
