  • Provide technical ownership of the NFUM Server Infrastructure.

  • Support a hybrid working model with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon.
About the role

An opportunity has arisen within the IT Infrastructure Products department for a Senior Wintel Engineer - Technical Service Owner. The team is dedicated to maintaining the stability of IT services. Reporting to the IT Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support for projects, resolving incidents, proactively maintaining the estate, and identifying improvement opportunities. You will review and approve change requests, assess their impact, and communicate with stakeholders. You will also represent the team at the Change Advisory Board and collaborate with external partners to enhance service delivery. Supporting and coaching colleagues within IT and the wider business is also part of the role.

About you

You will ensure the stability and integrity of production IT services, with extensive experience in designing, supporting, deploying, and improving Microsoft-based infrastructure. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills are essential, especially in resolving major IT incidents. You should have ownership mentality and drive issues to resolution.

Required skills and experience include:

  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and server-based applications (essential)
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows server infrastructure (essential)
  • Experience in designing server infrastructure (essential)
  • Experience with Storage and Virtualisation (essential)
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (essential)
  • Knowledge of Backup technology, SQL / Oracle Database (desirable)

Knowledge of governance or architectural practices within a regulated industry is advantageous.
