Job Description

London, Shoreditch (2-3 days onsite per week)

Aquent is helping our multinational cloud-based software client as they recruit an SEO Manager to work with their SEO team. We are looking for someone with a solid grasp of SEO methodologies, ranking strategies and a passion to stay on top of trends. The ideal candidate is data-driven and a good communicator who can translate data and insight into detailed recommendations. The person is self-motivated and feels comfortable prioritising multiple projects, with multiple remote teams simultaneously.

The UK SEO Manager will be responsible for identifying key opportunities, based on data, using this to craft and promote impactful, locally relevant customer experiences in alignment with strategic goals.

This is a 12-month contract aimed to start in March 2025. Our client works on a hybrid model where you will be required to work onsite in their London, Shoreditch, office 2-3 days per week. The role comes with a gross PAYE rate of up to £34.96 per hour, equivalent to £63,627 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. This includes up to 33 days of holiday per annum, pro rata, inclusive of bank holidays.

Ways of Working:
  • Having gained a deep understanding of the SEO strategy and SEO team operating process, you will find opportunities to improve the UK SEO performance by implementing local optimisations, while aligning with corporate partners on the global SEO strategy.
  • This role will also be working alongside Product Managers, unlocking new partnerships and driving value through delivering SEO improvements and clearly measuring the impact of their SEO initiatives.
  • This position is part of a well-established EMEA SEO team, continually bringing in new opportunities, and working with multiple teams cross-functionally to drive Marketing efforts.
What You'll Do:
  • Monitor SEO performance with a core focus on the UK market and ensure alignment with the global SEO strategy and goals.
  • Plan and implement the UK SEO roadmap, prioritising initiatives based on impact and clearly measuring outcomes to drive SEO traffic growth.
  • Conduct keyword research, content and competitor analysis to better optimise existing content, identify gaps, drive new traffic opportunities and to influence the overall strategy.
  • Support the team in the weekly and quarterly reporting and communication of SEO health in relation to performance, search trends, providing relevant insights.
  • Transform requirements into briefs and documentation to support the development and execution of optimisation and test activities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and handle agency relationships.
  • Analyse the website to provide recommendations for search engine improvements in priority markets to identify new opportunities and support the wider strategy.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven SEO experience leading and delivering SEO projects to the highest standards.
  • Experience in providing keyword research, forecasts, and performance reports around core SEO metrics, including keyword rankings and traffic.
  • Solid understanding of SEO analytics and ability to answer data-related questions both in support of performance reporting and hypothesis definition.
  • Proficient in using SEO tools and familiarity with various third-party SEO solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and partner management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects.
