Service Charge Accountant-London

OUR CLIENT is a reputable, award-winning firm of Chartered Surveyors in London that provides specialised services in commercial and residential property. They have now appointed Trident solely to recruit a Service Charge Accountant who will be responsible for preparation, reconciliation, and close year-end service charge accounts for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

THE ROLE:

1. Processing invoices efficiently and accurately.
2. Collating documents and information required for the external accountants including leases, invoices and demands.
3. Calculating service charge caps where applicable and checking against the lease.
4. Preparing a uniform budget pack to be sent to tenants.
5. Retrieving handover checklist items for service charge properties on new instructions from previous agents.
6. Providing handover documents on lost management, such as production of supporting documents.
7. Assisting with cash flow reporting to Surveyors where required.
8. Running and reviewing quarterly service charge reports.
9. Providing general administrative assistance where required.

THE PERSON: To apply for this role as an Assistant Service Charge Accountant you will:

1. 3+ years of experience preparing year-end service charge accounts.
2. Experience of using property management systems such as QUBE, TRAMPS, YARDI is essential.
