About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Designer with SC clearance and strong GDS (Government Digital Service) experience to join our team. You will work on high-profile government projects, designing end-to-end services that meet user needs while aligning with government digital standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead service design activities across the full service lifecycle, from discovery to live.
- Conduct user research and collaborate with User Researchers, Content Designers, and Interaction Designers to create user-centred services.
- Develop service maps, blueprints, and process flows to visualise and improve user journeys.
- Work closely with policy, operational, and technical teams to design holistic services.
- Ensure services align with GDS Service Standards and follow accessibility and inclusion best practices.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to co-design and validate service improvements.
- Iterate service designs based on user feedback, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Contribute to service assessments and ensure services pass GDS assessments where applicable.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- SC Cleared
- Strong experience in service design within government projects.
- Deep understanding of GDS Service Standard, GOV.UK patterns, and accessibility guidelines.
- Proficiency in mapping user journeys, service blueprints, and process flows.
- Experience working in Agile teams using Agile methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Familiarity with digital transformation and user-centred design principles.
