Job Overview

We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help lead and support our large nursing team. Candidates must demonstrate their ability to support the management of the unit, manage a team of nurses, and support staff within the challenging critical care environment while having knowledge of the multi-faceted NHS. This role requires strong leadership skills to uphold the standards and values of CTCCU.

The unit is the North West Centre for Cardiopulmonary Transplantation. We have an established respiratory ECMO service, and as part of our heart failure service, the unit is able to provide cardiac ECMO.

Main Duties of the Job

The Unit consists of a 31-bedded purpose-built Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit combining both level 2 and level 3 care. As a team, we are committed to delivering the highest standard of care. The unit encourages and supports staff development to progress your career.

Substantial experience within the cardiothoracic critical care specialty, experience in mentoring, education to diploma level, evidence of level 3 studies, ENB100, critical care course, and evidence of personal development are expected of all candidates.

The post is subject to 24hrs internal rotation.
