Site Engineer / Setting out Engineer

We have a need for a freelance site engineer (without kit) to assist with the surfacing night shifts coming up at Lyminster. Setting out Engineer.

The project is a 1.2km bypass of the A284 north of Littlehampton. Works to be undertaken during the period include asphalt planing and surfacing, installation of street lighting, installation of kerbs and splitter islands, and landscaping works.

Responsibilities:

1. Setting out
2. As-builts
3. Recording dips before and after planing and laying
4. Keeping a diary of works
5. Some supervision of the works

Starts with DAY shifts to get up to speed and be briefed on the night works, then NIGHT shifts, likely starting around 7pm until 5am the next morning.
