Site Engineer / Site Setting out engineer

Site Engineer - Setting out Engineer - Outside IR35 - Site Engineer Civils -
We have a need for a freelance site engineer (without kit) on the A249 Grovehurst scheme.

Site Engineer / Setting out Engineer role details:

To upgrade the Grovehurst junction on the A249. Works comprise earthworks, various road make-ups including the use of CBGM, installation of new services, drainage, kerbs and tarmac surfacing.

Experience required:

• Highways setting out and surveys with robotic total station
• Locating existing services
• Working around live services
• Completing QA check sheets and diary
• Working with subcontractors

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out using total stations and undertaking traditional setting out
• Reading and reviewing construction drawings
• Undertaking basic take-offs
• Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
• Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures

What we are looking for:

• Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projects
• Relevant CSCS
• Computer competence
• Civil Engineering related qualification
• Successful experience as a site engineer
