Site Engineer / Site Setting out engineer

We have a requirement for a Consultant Site Engineer to work on Dover Docks from 17/4/25 - 28/4/25 for holiday cover.

The client is carrying out the upgrade works to the former boat yard within the Dover Western Docks. This will comprise installing new services, drainage, and modular buildings as part of the new EES checks. There are also works to be undertaken in the Eastern Docks.

Experience required will be in setting out and surveys with robotic total station, locating existing services, working around live services, completing QA check sheets and diary, and working with subcontractors.

Site Engineer / Setting out Engineer Role Details:

1. Setting out using total stations, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out
2. Read and review construction drawings
3. Undertake basic take-offs
4. Raise technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
5. Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures

What We Are Looking For:

1. Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projects
2. Relevant CSCS
3. Computer competence
4. Civil Engineering related qualification
5. Successful experience as a site engineer
