THE ROLE & WHY IT EXISTS
Gravitee.io is taking APIs to the next level - we are the premier, open source API platform and we want everyone to know how amazing our software is. To make this happen, we are looking for someone passionate, curious and ambitious. This is where you come in. We are currently recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.
As an SRE Engineer, you will be part of a Platform Team dedicated to making Gravitee's products best in class both in terms of product and infrastructure. From time to time you will also be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our customers. This is a hands-on, critical role in our organisation and highly technical. The right candidate will enjoy problem solving with our clients in a highly specialised and technical way. You will be delivering new environments - not only POCs, but also production ready, Kubernetes based, customer facing ones!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Your daily to-do list will feature some or all of the following, but is not limited to:
- Assist the support team to help customers have the best experience possible with our products
- Work with other team members to develop and maintain new features
- Participate in delivering Gravitee NextGen Cloud infrastructure
- Share your (tech and non-tech) knowledge during our internal Gravitee TechTalk
- Lead the investigation of multiple Support Tickets and work collaboratively to understand and resolve customer issues providing the best solution possible
- Prioritise issues and give our customers (both internal and external), located in multiple countries and time zones, the level of duty and care they need to help implement our platform in their environments
- Create knowledge articles to complete our documentation and enable customers to better understand product use cases
- Be innovative within the team and with customers to help improve processes and tools
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
The right candidate will possess at least the following skills, if not more:
- 4+ years of professional experience in infrastructure management
- You are fluent with creating and managing Kubernetes clusters and Helm based deployment
- You understand the value of infrastructure and deployment automation
- You like sharing knowledge and continuous learning is important to you
- You are curious about and want to be part of all aspects of a project like CI, dependency management, and vulnerability management
- You possess great attention to detail and provide accurate solutions to internal and external stakeholders
- You are patient, resilient and have great problem solving skills
