Skilled Shift Engineer

We are looking for experienced and ambitious Skilled Shift PSV Mechanic to join Arriva, based at our Colchester depot.

As a PSV Engineer, your role would involve carrying out planned and preventative maintenance along with diagnostic fault finding and reactive repairs to a fleet of commercially operated buses & coaches, to the strict standards set by both Arriva, and the DVSA.

• £22 per hour & £33 per hour for overtime for all additional hours worked over the working week.
• 40 hours per week on shifts between 5:00 and 23:00, 5 days out of 7.

The role of a PSV Mechanic will involve:

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Continuous improvement of vehicle reliability.
• MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks.
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA).
• Early/Late shift rota covering 5 out of 7 days, Sunday to Saturday included.

Requirements of a PSV Mechanic:

• Qualifications for PSV/HGV maintenance and repair - Minimum of NVQ level 3 or any equivalent international qualification (will require confirmation).
• A full UK driving licence (6 points or less).
• Ability to be passed fit for a PCV pre-employment medical.
