About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced and proactive Social Media & Community Engagement Specialist to strengthen our relationship with our audience, build supportive communities, and promote our brand's mission across various platforms. You'll be instrumental in shaping conversations around relationships, separation and parenting apart, ensuring our community feels heard, informed, and supported.
Reporting to the Brand Manager, you'll be pivotal in supporting the marketing team's growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Community Engagement Management
- Take the lead in managing and engaging with audiences across amicable's social media channels, fostering meaningful interactions
- Work closely with the Content Marketing Specialist to drive engagement through social media posts promoting our blog, podcast, and other content across all platforms
- Create and curate engaging posts for LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, and X, ensuring community engagement and alignment with our brand voice
- Identify and partner with influencers and content creators to amplify our reach and engagement on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Content Creation
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to develop content inspired by community insights, ensuring it speaks directly to our audience's needs
- Plan, film, and edit impactful vox pops (short, real-life video interviews) that authentically capture personal stories of separation, co-parenting, and divorce
- Leverage user-generated content (UGC) and influencers to enhance engagement, expand reach, and build community trust
- Regularly monitor performance metrics, analyse engagement trends, and adjust content strategies to optimise impact
- Contribute to a mix of engaging, empathetic content, including blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and video content
- Collaborate with the Content Marketing Specialist to grow and enhance our YouTube channel, ensuring it delivers high-quality, impactful video content.
Community Building & Advocacy
- Grow and nurture our online and offline communities, ensuring they are engaged, informed, and connected
- Create welcoming spaces for individuals to share experiences, find support, and access valuable resources
- Act as the community's voice, ensuring our content and services reflect their needs and concerns
- Support community engagement across all amicable's touchpoints, including the podcast, app, and beyond.
Event Coordination
- Plan, host, and promote engaging webinars, Q&A sessions, and in-person events that provide genuine value to our community
- Work alongside the marketing team to create interactive and memorable experiences that align with our mission and build stronger community ties.
Partnership Development
- Collaborate with the Partnership Manager to build relationships with relevant organisations, influencers, and stakeholders
- Leverage partnerships to expand amicable's impact and reach.
Insights & Performance Tracking
- Engage in social listening and monitor community metrics to stay attuned to audience sentiment and feedback
- Conduct user experience research to gather actionable insights and refine our community engagement strategies
- Respond to community interactions with care and professionalism, fostering meaningful conversations
- Participate in relevant divorce and parenting forums, engaging in conversations that resonate with our target audience.
Essential:
- Proven experience in community management, social media, or a related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences
- Strong writing and storytelling abilities, with a knack for creating empathetic, engaging content
- Ability to write within brand guidelines and maintain a consistent tone of voice across all platforms
- A deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and tools
- Experience organising events and fostering collaborations with external partners.
Nice to have:
- Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report on community engagement success
- Passion for supporting individuals during divorce and aligning with amicable's mission
- Previous experience within legal services, wellbeing or an SME
- Previous experience growing podcast audience.
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year depending on skills and experience
