Job Description
Purpose of the Role

This highly visible role will support Kings Cross Estate Services (KCES), the Head of People and Enablement and General Manager in delivering the King's Cross Social Value strategy within the operational business and guide wider team members who support the operational teams on the Planet and People pillars.

Working with the Asset Manager, this role involves leading the implementation of social value strategies, managing partnerships, and embedding social value into the business and procurement processes. Responsibilities include assisting with annual social value reports, benchmarking, and driving social value initiatives.

This position focuses on embedding impact measurement and social value across King's Cross. Key tasks include designing evaluation frameworks, supporting reporting, and managing relationships with community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategy support
    • Work with the asset manager to understand and implement Social Value Strategy: Collaborate with the Head of Purpose and Enablement, General Manager, Head of Destination, Head of Property Operations, Director of Surveying, and other colleagues to develop and implement an effective social value programme.
    • Build Relationships: Maintain and build strategic stakeholder relationships. Develop a professional understanding and close working relationship with appropriate customers, services and occupier representatives, encouraging frequent, open communication. Align engagement practices across the business to streamline communications and efficiency.
    • Understand for each occupier business who key contacts are on Social Value and HR.
    • Collaborate with Central Teams: Form relationships and work with central London Operations, Supply Chain, Health and Safety, and ESG teams to enable a progressive, first-class service to all customers.
    • Create KCES Social Value delivery plan that coordinates King's Cross and King's Cross Recruit Social Value strategies. Coordination of activities to support.
    • Working with King's Cross Recruit to promote local employment opportunities.
    • Map our all-sponsorship opportunities or where Kings Cross Recruit can help.
    • Support delivery of the Occupier Social Value Forums.
  2. Culture
    • Integrate Social Value: Ensuring Social Value is understood and fully integrated into daily operations, business strategies, and decision-making.
    • Support the asset manager with data collection for the Social Impact Framework and annual measurement.
    • Seek out, promote and coordinate volunteering opportunities.
    • Connect King's Cross occupiers with local community groups, charities, schools and initiatives including Camden STEM week and King's Cross Academy.
    • Collaborate with service partners to include sustainability KPIs within contracts including apprenticeship opportunities.
    • With the Estate team, create an inclusive estate in line with recommendations from inclusivity and accessibility audits.
    • Collaborate with the events and enlivenment teams to deliver legacy projects.
    • Lead Initiatives: Promote Social Value within the King's Cross Estate Services team.
    • Monitor Impact: Monitor and report on the impact of Social Value initiatives on employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
    • Promote King's Cross Social Value and King's Cross Recruit strategy to occupiers via induction process and follow up meetings working with neighbourhood manager and wider leadership team.
    • Integrate Social Value within KCES' HR, procurement, and governance processes, including the supply chain.
    • Lead on KCES specific King's Cross Recruit plan including supply chain.
  3. Subject Matter Expert
    • Consistent Messaging: Ensure consistent messaging and branding around KCES purpose with marketing and communications teams.
    • Best Practices: Immerse the team in King's Cross social value ambitions.
    • Delivery Plans: Set clear delivery plans in line with the overall operational plan and Asset Management business plan. Monitor and report progress.
    • Resource Review: Regularly review resources, roles, and structure to ensure the service offering reflects business and customer requirements.
    • Budget and Cost Control: Oversee direct reports in terms of budget, cost control, and management of service charge or recharges as appropriate.
    • External Representation: Represent KCES externally as a thought leader on purpose, social value, and corporate responsibility. Connect with central Savills ESG resources.
  4. Head Office Responsibilities
    • Execute Savills' RISE Principles.
    • Innovative Environment: Provide an innovative, operationally efficient, and economically competitive commercial environment for occupiers.
    • Safety and Wellbeing: Contribute to the safety and wellbeing of all occupiers and users of the building.
    • Enhance Investment Value: Enhance the investment value of the asset for the investors.
  5. Collaboration and Best Practices
    • Form Strategic Relationships: Build relationships with central London Operations, Supply Chain, Health and Safety, and ESG teams to learn and implement best practices, ensuring these are integrated into the first-class services at King's Cross.
    • Plan ESG Initiatives: Collaborate with the Asset Management team to understand and plan their needs, coordinating with Savills-led ESG initiatives and expert support.
    • Promote Leadership: Represent and promote the King's Cross leadership group and Savills.
    • Implement Best Practices: Establish and implement relevant Savills' best practices within the operational strategy.
  6. Other Responsibilities
    • Programme and Budget Management
      • Deliver Programmes: Execute agreed programmes, investments, and initiatives, managing and reporting costs within agreed budgets.
      • Support Community programme for the MUGA developed - codesigned with residents across housing tenures.
      • Good work standard assessment in KCES.
      • Support Monitoring and reporting of security team youth engagement and bystander intervention training.
      • Support food waste strategy roll out and Community programme and partnership offer for occupiers agreed for Fishtank.
      • Support Individual social impact proposals for up to 5 offices and mobilise.
      • Support 12-month pilot social impact strategy for Retail.
      • Quarterly reporting on supply chain Social Value.
      • Review with King's Cross Recruit with KCES Training and upskilling programme in KCES.
      • Where KCES/SC applying for grant funding - support process.
      • Support King's Cross Recruit future model.
    • Training and Meetings
      • Training Courses: Attend internal training courses (compulsory) and identify personal training needs.
      • Internal Meetings: Attend internal meetings as required.

Working Hours - Five days a week. Mainly Monday to Friday but some flexibility expected. This is a site-based role.

Salary - £45k.
