Key job responsibilities
As a software development engineer on the DataSync team, you will be a key contributor to the future direction and growth of the service. You will be part of a team of highly productive professionals and help architect and implement the next set of features and functionality. You will investigate operational issues, resolve customer challenges and help maintain and enhance operational excellence that creates loyal AWS customers. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to make fundamental contributions to the design and architecture of the service and to grow your technical and professional skills while helping DataSync and AWS grow.

DataSync is a data movement service that moves file and object data quickly, securely, and reliably, helping customers accelerate their migration initiatives, critical business workflows, and business continuity objectives. We serve customers wherever their data may live: on premises, at the edge, in other clouds, or in AWS. If you enjoy building systems that have real customer impact, this is your chance to join our team and help shape the future of a rapidly growing service.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
