Software Test Engineer

IntroductieOur client is responsible for designing and producing high-tech machines and machine modules. They are also manufacturing and assembling their machines under one roof. Their high-tech production facility is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery to produce any designed product. Their clients are international leaders within the high-tech engineering domain. They are expanding their business, therefore we are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer / Software Test Architect.Functieomschrijving

• Define and execute plans and strategies to eliminate software faults using a test-based approach.
• Enhance the competence of automated testing within the software department while serving as a sparring partner for software architects and teams.
• Establish and continuously improve the test automation framework, architecture, and CI/CD pipeline in collaboration with software architects and teams.
• Design and develop test automation scripts and integrate them into the framework and pipeline.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align on the testing approach and process.
• Engage with the software test community as a representative of the organization.
• Support teams in conducting software quality assessments and report findings on test coverage and residual risks.
• Assist in test execution when necessary as part of the team.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronics Engineering.
• Academic-level thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software verification and validation roles within technical environments.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and preferably Python.
• ISTQB Full Advanced Level certification or equivalent (preferred).
• Proven experience in establishing and enhancing test frameworks.
• Expertise in defining and implementing test processes.
• Hands-on experience with test automation development and modern tools.
• Familiarity with requirements management, Agile/SCRUM methodologies, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Think of automated milling machines, lathes, grinders, welding robots, laser cutters, etc. Our client encysts of the following disciplines: mechanical, electrical, mechatronics and software. Out of these disciplines multidisciplinary project teams are assembled. These teams are responsible for the realization of challenging projects for leading international clients within the high-tech engineering (machine building).
