Job Description

Job Title: Solar Project Manager

Based at: MJ Quinn Solar Unit 2 Stonebridge Park Electric Avenue Liverpool L11 0EL

Division: Energy

Department: Solar

Reports to: Installation Director

Contract Type & Hours of Work: Permanent - 40 hours per week

Holiday Entitlement: 33 days per annum, inclusive of bank holidays

Other Benefits: Company contribution pension scheme

Company Overview

We are Solar PV, installation specialists with over 10 years' experience, operating throughout the UK.

Job Purpose / Primary Objective

Reporting into the Installation Director, the primary objective of the Project Manager is to plan and coordinate projects for the Installation of Renewables and Solar PV panels from inception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out planning in accordance with the needs of your client, including setting goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks.
  2. Lead and motivate your project team from both internal and external stakeholder organisations.
  3. Manage the project, which includes coordinating the project team to keep them on track and keeping the project on budget.
  4. Identify and manage risks to ensure delivery is on time, implementing any necessary changes throughout the process.
  5. Report regularly to management and the client.
  6. Deliver quality service ensuring that performance standards & contractual KPI's and SLA's are met.
  7. Ensure all Health and Safety policies are adhered to at all times.

Relationships

To be effective in this role the Solar Project Manager will need to:

  1. Maintain and build up a good working relationship with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
  2. Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
  3. Communicate effectively with all other departments.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role the Solar Project Manager will:

  1. Have previous experience of management on Mechanical and Electrical Projects.
  2. Possess excellent organisation skills, to plan the use of people and resources to meet deadlines.
  3. Have the ability to use your initiative and make decisions under pressure.
  4. Be able to manage organisational change whilst delivering business results.
  5. Have the ability to monitor and control budgets.
  6. Have a legal right to work in the UK.
  7. Hold a full clean UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  8. Be aware that all applicants will be subject to a DBS check.
