Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join the cardiology pharmacy team. You will be nominally based at Clarkston Court, with your time split between primary care / outpatient clinics (Board-wide) 60% of your time, and acute-based (initially Queen Elizabeth University Hospital - QEUH) 40% of your time. You will be responsible for delivering a specialised clinical pharmacy service to cardiology patients across both primary care / outpatient clinics and an acute in-patient environment, as part of a wider established cardiology pharmacist network.

We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with good clinical knowledge, who have the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment, and want to develop into advanced autonomous clinical practice. You will be supported to complete the RPS Core Advanced portfolio and will have planned time for non-clinical duties, including leadership, education, and research.
