PERMANENT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist to work within the Integrated Drug and Alcohol Service (AIDARS) and the Community Mental Health Service (CMHS) within Angus.

We are seeking to recruit a Pharmacist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Mental Health and Substance Use Pharmacy team. The role is split equally across Community Mental Health and Substance Use Services in Angus.

We are keen to hear from pharmacists who:

  • Have experience and a genuine interest in working with people and their families and carers to support their mental health and/or substance use care and treatment.
  • Have an interest in working within multi-professional teams to deliver the best possible outcomes for individuals.
  • Are interested in developing a new service model of pharmaceutical care delivery within a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.

As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, the post-holder will be involved in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centred care for individuals within AIDARS and the CMHS, to ensure that patients have the maximum benefit and minimal risk from their prescribed medication.

Both AIDARS and the CMHS are integrated Health and Social Work Teams providing care to people with drug and/or alcohol problems and/or Mental Health Problems. Both services work closely with partners, including GP practices, Community Pharmacies, 3rd Sector agencies, and Independent Advocacy Services.

The post holder will also provide a leadership and education role for the teams as well as our partner agencies.

The role requires you to be a Registered Pharmacist with significant post-registration experience. A Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or the willingness to undertake the training within 2 years of successful appointment to the role is essential.

There may be a requirement to contribute to the on-call, weekend, and public holiday rotas as per service requirements.
