Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a fixed term, full time position of 12 months.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the adult acute dietetic oncology team for a Band 6 specialist dietitian to develop practice and provide a clinical service to the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. The 1 WTE post is based between Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Applicants must have a BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics, HCPC registration, and Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme.

You should be able to evidence experience providing complex nutrition support within oncology specialties. In addition you will require to demonstrate skills to provide evidence based practice in this highly specialist area of practice.

Clinical support and training will be provided from the onset in this post given the nature of this complex area.
