- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services including low and medium secure care.
- Specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
- Community physical health and well-being services for children and adults.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,000 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. We have an exciting opportunity to be able to offer a permanent contract for 30 hours per week. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who has extensive experience within the Podiatry field. The successful candidate will be responsible for a highly specialist podiatry portfolio in an agreed area of expertise, which will include provision of expert advice to podiatrists, senior clinicians, MDT across LSCFT and working closely with the Acute Trust.
Main duties of the jobThe Podiatry service provides assessment and treatment to service users referred with a variety of Podiatric conditions. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage a clinical caseload of patients with highly complex and/or additional podiatric needs. Also be able to demonstrate sound clinical knowledge and skills, have good communication & organisational abilities, and have a positive attitude to the care of the patients under the care of the Podiatry service.
Working for our organisationThe team is multi-disciplinary and works closely with other Community and Acute teams covering a wide range of agencies.
It is desirable for applicants to have experience of working at Band 7 level.
A robust programme of support, supervision and development will be offered to the successful candidate upon appointment.

Person specification Qualifications- Degree or equivalent in Podiatric Medicine
- Current professional registration with HCPC as Podiatrist and be responsible for maintaining own registration
- Certificate in Local analgesic / and or POM as recommended by HCPC
- Evidence of CPD in related field of clinical expertise.
- Understanding of clinical governance framework and implications for practice including audit and research.
- In-depth understanding of current NHS/government policy/Public Health/NICE guidelines on organisational change and the ability to adapt these appropriately to local service needs.
- Knowledge and appreciation of lone working risks - policy and procedure.
- Evidence of significant experience in the treatment of a broad range of conditions relating to clinical speciality of podiatry.
- Highly advanced and specialised practice skills in field of podiatric practice.
- Demonstrable evidence of improving and developing service and practice
- Multi-disciplinary/multi-agency collaborative working
