Specialist Social Worker - Substance Misuse

We are currently looking for an Adult's Social Worker to join a Substance Misuse Team.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience in permanent contracts.

About the team

This team specialises in substance misuse cases with providing advice and training to substance misuse workers is a key responsibility in order to effectively work with vulnerable adults within the community to improve their wellbeing. This is a stand alone service separate to the community team to ensure concentrated efforts to deliver the ambitions of the national drug strategy. The team is looking for a Social Worker with a positive, person-centred approach to working with those with substance misuse issues and their respective communities.

About you

The successful Social Worker will have a positive attitude, well versed in adult safeguarding and mental health proceedings. A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of two years experience working in an Adult's Social Work setting are essential for this position.
