NHS HIGHLAND

RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS

3 x Speciality Doctor in General Medicine

40 hours including out of hours commitment

£61,690 - £96,129 per annum pro rata

Applications are invited for a Specialty Doctor in General Medicine post (including Medical High Dependency Unit). You will work across acute general medicine and various specialty medical wards, as well as having involvement in specialist outpatient clinics and procedural clinics.

You will work across acute medicine and general medical ward at senior middle grade level. You will have the opportunity to manage a range of acute medical problems and to develop your clinical leadership within these areas. You will have the opportunity to develop clinical skills aligned with acute medicine and to practice them regularly. You will be expected to manage patients as a senior decision maker under the guidance of a consultant physician. There is also the opportunity to participate in a range of specialty outpatient clinics.

In addition to clinical management, we would expect you to develop other roles in the department, such as quality improvement or service development.

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have full GMC registration with a licence to practice and two years' experience in hospital medicine.
