Getting vaccinated, and getting a booster, remains the best defence against COVID-19. We encourage and support staff to get COVID-19 vaccine and a booster dose as and when they are eligible.
Job overview We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated speech and language therapists to join our large Whittington Health team which includes specialists in many clinical areas. You will gain new skills and experiences and support Haringey and Barnet children and young people, their families, and schools. We have a strong focus on working with families and achieving the best outcomes for the children and young people.
The roles are 12 month fixed term, Band 6-7 run through. We welcome applications from current Band 5, 6 or 7 SLTs with some experience working in early years clinics or mainstream schools. Additional support and training will be offered for less experienced therapists. Once skills, experience and competencies are achieved, the post can progress to band 7 pay levels.
It's an exciting time in both Haringey and Barnet. We are developing our Universal offers which run alongside the ELSA programme in Barnet and Haringey's SLCN graduated response which identify and meet the SLCN needs of children and young people as early as possible. As part of this we have additional funding for these posts which will support us to reduce long waits for assessment and intervention in our early years and mainstream schools services.
