Job overviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic SLT to lead the Biborough SLT Education Team working across the two boroughs of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea.
The successful candidate will understand the day-to-day running of an education speech and language therapy team and be experienced in delivering SEND partnership working, including maintaining excellent relationships with commissioners and other partners, and ensuring delivery of contractual key performance indicators.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the Speech and Language Therapy Service Education Team in the central London boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

Person specification Experience- Highly specialist work with children with a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties
- Collaborative work with parents and other professionals
- Experience in managing/leading a team, service area or pathway
- Working in a multi-cultural community
- Experience in monitoring performance and providing feedback
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly developed auditory perceptual skills in assessment and diagnosis
- IT literate and able to use a range of specialist programmes
- Current knowledge of local and national policies informing Education and healthcare
- Knowledge of collaborative models of working in schools
- Degree and License to Practice from the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists
- Current registered membership of HCPC and RCSLT
- Evidence of leadership education and/or experience or a willingness to undertake this
