SQL Database Administrator

Database Administrator - Contract, 6 Months, Inside IR35 - Insurance.

A well-respected Lloyd's Market speciality firm is searching for a SQL Database Administrator to join them on an initial 6 month contractual basis. This is a critical role within the business where you will be tasked with creating, managing, tuning, developing and remediating the Speciality Firm's internal database estate which uses SQL.

Key Deliverables:

1. Monitor health of the firm's databases.
2. Develop, implement, and monitor database backups and recovery within an Azure environment.
3. Work with development and support teams to remediate database failures.
4. Proactively tune the databases using maintenance plans.
5. Liaise with Managed Service provider to deploy changes to the environment.

Experience Required:

1. Experience in managing multiple databases and instances in an SQL environment.
2. It is important to have experience working within the London/Lloyd's Market.
