We have a new opportunity for a Staff Grade Psychiatry - CAMHS in Birmingham.

Shift: Full-Time

Duties:

• Assessment & treatment of new and open follow-up routine cases at clinics
• Assesses risk and formulates crisis care plans for urgently referred patients or patients stepped down from Crisis Resolution Home treatment teams
• Liaison with Crisis Resolution Home treatment teams for stepping up referrals
• Conducts home visits for mental state examination jointly with senior mental health practitioners on an urgent basis where necessary
• Participates on medical duty rota (5 days a week) for urgent and routine repeat prescribing for young adult patients and their carers either face to face (or video consultation) onsite assessments with duty clinician at hub.
• Co-works with care coordinators & participates in CPA reviews and MDT weekly meetings
• Undertakes audit and service improvement projects periodically
• Supervises and offers relevant consultations to MDT clinicians e.g., psychologists and occupational therapists
• Completes medical reports for other professionals (e.g., Department for Work and Pensions, Social Workers, and College tutors) with consent provided by clients.
