Job Description

Venatu Recruitment are proud to announce a leading client of ours in the high-end steelwork fabrication industry is now looking for a Contract Manager to join them at their HQ in Doncaster. The client is a leading provider of high-quality steelwork fabrication solutions, committed to delivering excellence in every project and is well known for projects in the Railway, Highways, and Construction Industry, working alongside various Tier 1 Contractors. Due to their consistent growth and expansion, they're now looking for a Production Manager to manage and oversee multiple steel installation projects. This would be a great position for someone who has experience in the steelwork sector and can confidently apply their skills, knowledge, and experience to other well-known, large-scale projects.

This is a full-time role paying £40k to £45k per year DOE with only 39 hours per week Monday to Friday! As Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production team on the day shift and ensuring works are planned and undertaken effectively.

Successful applicants MUST have previous steel fabrication experience.

Job duties include:

  1. Oversee production process from start to finish
  2. Develop and implement plans to meet production goals and deadlines
  3. Manage production supervisors and workers
  4. Identify and resolve production-related problems
  5. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  6. Monitor and review employee performance at regular intervals
  7. Assist in the identification of new competency requirements as a requirement of new standards or legislation

The type of candidates they're looking for:

  1. Have previous production management experience
  2. Have experience at contract and technical management level
  3. Have knowledge of ISO management systems and auditing procedures
  4. Have knowledge of rail environments and requirements (Desirable not Essential)
