Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Job Location: London, United Kingdom (Homebased - any UK location considered)
Job Overview:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for assisting in the discovery and evaluation of third-party resources, such as regional vendors, clinical vendor network, preferred vendors/strategic partners, to aid in delivering to clinical operations requirements. They are responsible for sourcing products and services as directed by management, according to procurement policy and procedures. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist updates third-party information within the corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application as needed or required by account changes, vendor contact changes, vendor capabilities, and vendor pricing. They assist internal stakeholders during the vendor selection process by providing guidance as to availability, contract and qualification status, as well as points of contact. Supports with contract execution and change order management. They take the initiative to research and present novel ideas and solutions to management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures Procurement policies and processes are followed.
- Executes the vendor selection processes in support of RFIs for Clinical Operations.
- Assists in locating and qualifying strategic partnership vendors from agreed target categories and locations.
- Sources products and services as directed by management.
- Updates Third Party information within the corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.
- Participates in corporate initiatives and actions that ensure the continued success of the company.
- Other activities as designated.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
No supervisory responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a business management, scientific or clinical operations field.
Experience:
• 0 - 2 years of related experience (business degree/field).
• Prior experience using computerized information systems preferred.
• Office-based experience is encouraged but not required.
• Knowledge of web-based communication tools for conferences is helpful.
Skills/Competencies:
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
