Position - Subject Lead - Biology (TLR £3,391)
Kings Heath Secondary School is a maintained school for 11-16 year olds. We have places for 795 pupils increasing to 840 pupils. From September 2024, the school changed designation from a single sex school to a coeducational school. We have fantastic facilities, which further inspire the love of the sciences that we foster in our students.
We have a flourishing teaching and learning group that staff are welcome to join. We have an excellent CPD and induction package, with many staff enrolled on NPQs and courses through the Chartered College of Teaching.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and it is the positive community cohesion in our school that we celebrate. We have high expectations of our students in terms of attendance, punctuality, effort, and willingness to take an active role in school life. The school fosters a happy, caring environment where students feel safe to achieve the very best they can. Strong partnerships exist between the school, the students, their families, and the community. We find our students flourish at Kings Heath Secondary because they feel supported, encouraged, and enthused by all around them.
This is an exciting opportunity, and we hope that you feel you can make a difference to our journey. If you are passionate about biology and supporting students to recognize and reach their potential as part of a supportive team, this role could be for you!
