ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for an energetic and ambitious individual to join us as a Supply & Inventory Planner based at our manufacturing site in Ross-On-Wye, working in a hybrid style role (therefore some days will be spent working from home).

This is your chance to be part of a large-scale transformation as we migrate from legacy systems to SAP IBP, unlocking new efficiencies, sparking innovation at every step, and igniting Nichols' growth ambitions for the future. Our Planning team has responsibility for materials planning, scheduling, supply planning and inventory management for Out Of Home division. This dynamic role will have coverage for all aspects as either a primary part of your responsibility or as cover for your colleagues.

In this pivotal role you'll collaborate with our Customers, Suppliers, 3PLs, Commercial teams, and other Planners, recognising that Planning provides the drumbeat to the business and enables us to "Deliver WOW" to our consumers. You will play an integral role in identifying and delivering opportunities, to "Find a Better Way", that helps us achieve fantastic service, operational efficiencies, whilst minimising costs and CO2 emissions. Using our cutting-edge ERP you'll demonstrate we're truly "Passionate About What We Do" by continuously monitoring, optimising and elevating performance.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Own: be responsible for building plans and managing the flow of inventory to meet customer demand.
  2. Maintain: ensure an accurate end to end system network giving real time visibility of the supply network, while maintaining inventory processes, stock accuracy, and stock adjustments.
  3. Critical thinker: Reviews exceptions, plans inventory, and sets working parameters that meet our current targets and evaluate advancements that continuously improve our operation.
  4. Clear and concise communicator: collaborate on the consensus plan with internal stakeholders, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure business-wide alignment.
  5. Planning excellence: Responsible for building best-in-class supply plans, considering annual contracts, agreed constraints, manufacturing efficiency, and financial targets.
  6. Inventory champion: Executes inventory control measures with an analytical eye that ensures minimal stock holding for cost effectiveness but maximises stock availability for customer satisfaction, or manufacturing effectiveness.
  7. Change agent: Innovate and deliver improvement activities related to inventory with 3PLs/co-Manufacturers/Internal Factory/Managed Warehouses as relevant.
  8. Problem Solving Hero: Serve as the primary contact for all parties on all matters relating to inventory.
IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE EXPERIENCE IN:
  • Materials Planning, Supply Planning, or Production Scheduling.
  • Utilising an ERP system.
  • Working in FMCG industry.
  • Showing analytical skills, enthusiasm, commitment, clarity, judgement, teamwork, and a willingness to learn in the workplace.
HOWEVER, YOU MAY ALSO HAVE:
  • Experience of working in similar associated Supply Chain roles that could be appropriate, or, be a recent graduate with limited experience looking to start a career in Supply Chain.
