SUPPLY CHAIN TEAM LEAD - LEUVEN (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION

We're currently recruiting a Supply Chain Team Lead for a leading innovator in the microelectronics industry, specializing in the development and production of high-performance electronic components.

The Supply Chain Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team to manage and optimize supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, supplier relations, logistics, and distribution.

This role requires a deep understanding of the microelectronics industry, ensuring efficient material flow while mitigating risks associated with component shortages and supply chain disruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to drive operational excellence.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve lead times.
• Oversee procurement of microelectronic components, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners.
• Monitor supply chain performance using KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage inventory, demand planning, and material forecasting to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align supply chain operations with business goals.
• Mitigate supply chain risks by diversifying supplier base and implementing contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, trade policies, and environmental standards.
• Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance supply chain visibility and decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the microelectronics or semiconductor industry.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
• Understanding of global supply chain trends, component sourcing, and supplier management.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and data analytics tools.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment with shifting priorities.
