Housing Support Worker - Stoke-on-Trent - £12.82 per hour - Temporary

Your new company
You will be working for a Housing Association based in Staffordshire as a Support Worker.
Your new role

Provide and maintain a friendly and supportive environment in the scheme.

Cover reception tasks including phone calls, post and enquiries.

Support customers in managing their rent and service charge payments, including their benefit claims where necessary.

Undertake regular health and safety room checks.

Support customers and provide crisis intervention where necessary.

Provide advice on housing, health, welfare benefit claims and other issues as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

• Someone with a genuine understanding and compassion for people without a home, who won't judge but instead will empower customers and give them a voice.
• A flexible and adaptable approach and someone able to work around the needs of the customer.
• Some experience dealing with the public and/or customers in a busy service environment.
• Some experience dealing with complex/ difficult behaviours in relation to women experiencing multiple disadvantages.
• Great communication skills.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly rate of £12.82 including holiday pay. This opportunity provides you with the flexibility of working day and night shifts, 7 days per week.
