The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a Private Mental Health Hospital in Thatcham, Berkshire. Please not we have a long term block booking available.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, patient-centered support to women in a mental health setting.
Assist with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and social interaction.
Support individuals in developing and maintaining independence and life skills.
Work closely with the nursing team to ensure each patient's care plan is effectively implemented.
Promote a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Offer emotional support and companionship.
Participate in regular training and professional development activities.
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and professional standards.
Requirements
Experience in a mental health or care setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of mental health issues and the needs of female patients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
