Job Description
I am currently looking for a Network Security Engineer for one of my clients based in Brabant Wallon. Given your profile, this opportunity could be a great match for you!

mission This role involves 50% operational tasks (handling complex requests, continuous improvement, strengthening cybersecurity posture) and 50% project-based work (Firewall lifecycle management, Sse implementation, AlgoSec improvements, Sse migration, etc.).

technical responsibilities Palo Alto ( )
  • Managing the Palo Alto Firewall lifecycle
  • Installing and configuring new Firewalls
  • Implementing Sse Palo Alto Prisma
️ Firewall rules ( )
  • Supporting system deployments from a network security perspective
  • Configuring networks, zones, and Firewall rules
AlgoSec
  • Firewall Analyzer: Identifying and optimizing rules (shadowed, unused, duplicate rules)
  • Fireflow: Creating and managing security requests
  • Appviz: Visualizing applications to facilitate Fireflow requests
Cisco ISE (+)
  • Managing Wireless & Wired NAC (currently in open mode, planned transition to closed mode)
  • Profiling on both wired and wireless networks
  • Implementing Trustsec and Sxp
infoblox ( )
  • Optimizing and fine-tuning the existing Infoblox implementation
  • Managing DHCP & IP address management

specific focus areas
  • Providing technical recommendations and improvements on Palo Alto
  • Supporting complex Firewall rule configurations
  • Identifying risky rules and creating a security matrix in AlgoSec
  • Improving and fine-tuning Infoblox

additional responsibilities
  • Managing specific network projects
  • Creating Low-Level Designs (LLD) based on High-Level Designs (Hdl) from architects
  • Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Transitioning support to the Center of Excellence (CoE) after project implementation
  • Acting as a mentor for junior and mid-level profiles in BAU support tasks

️ Driving continuous improvement initiatives
️ Proposing enhancements to existing technologies and processes
