Technical Account Manager - Temporary Worker

The team implements programs across commercial aviation. From a new onboard portal project to a complete new fleet implementation including certification.

The remit is wide and includes various types of projects to deliver.

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide business, technical, and product knowledge in support of post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Address product-related questions and technical challenges.
3. Educate customers on how existing and new product features and functionality work.
4. Generate periodic service performance reports and monitor service metrics to ensure optimal performance.
5. Act as the interface to Viasat's support organization to appropriately route customer requests and efficiently address escalations.
6. Partner with Business Development teams to build relationships with the customer's decision-makers, business contacts, and influencers.
7. Ensure hardware and software defects are documented and tracked with appropriate tracking systems.
8. Ensure that tickets are resolved professionally and in a manner consistent with the contract.
9. Perform quarterly business reviews with the customer.
10. Play an active role on the customer deployment team during the service launch and stabilization period, providing the primary technical support role for production services.
11. Work with the customer to understand their technical needs for products and services, identifying opportunities for Viasat.
12. Provide technical guidance, status, and leadership to the customer and internal teams for all account-related activities.
13. Conduct weekly/periodic technical interchange meetings, reporting/diagnostic technical information collection, sharing, and communication.

1. Experience in a technical account management role.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
3. Demonstrated experience managing customer expectations and delivery scope.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with other team members.
5. Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Broadband networking concepts.
6. Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent ticketing system and reporting tools.
7. Ability to present complex technical material to a variety of audiences.
8. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams.
9. Comfortable working in a diverse cultural environment.
10. Understanding of the satellite communication system.
11. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% with a week's notice.
