Technical Business Analyst - REMOTE - OUTSIDE IR35

Their multidisciplinary team works with organisations to design more effective services which help people thrive. Recently, they opened a new London studio and expanded the impact they can have by increasing the amount of work they do with the Government.

By helping to deliver on the Service Standard's commitment to user-centred design they're able to work with smaller organisations such as start-ups and charities. They're also continuing to dedicate time to key missions such as Thriving Planet, which aims to put sustainability at the heart of their practice. They have big plans and are seeking people who can join them, working with their partners and clients to design services that reflect their commitment to a fairer, more sustainable future for all.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Technical Business Analyst for a 2-month contract outside IR35 on a remote-first basis (candidates must be UK based).

Purpose of the role:

An exciting outside IR35 home-working contracting opportunity has arisen with our client Snook. They are seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a high profile public sector project to help shape innovative, user-centered digital services.

The ideal Business Analyst will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of operating models and technical solutions. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the delivery of innovative and feasible solutions within complex environments.

Responsibilities of the role:

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

   • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems, needs, and requirements.

2. Analysis and Current State Assessment:

   • Gather and analyze information to understand the current operating model and identify opportunities for improvement.

   • Undertake feasibility assessments to understand constraints such as resources, budgets, and regulatory requirements.

3. Solution Development:

   • Work with design teams and clients to scope, develop, and implement practical and innovative solutions.

   • Undertake opportunity assessments to evaluate the viability and impact of potential solutions.

4. Business Case Development:

   • Prepare robust business cases to support decision-making processes.

5. Coaching and Advisory:

   • Advise and coach clients to help them deliver their projects successfully.

6. Technical Focus:

   • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solutions align with system architectures and technical constraints.

   • Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure seamless communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we require from the candidate:

• Prior experience of Business Analysis for complex digital projects, ideally within the public sector.

• Ability to understand and simplify complex information, identify gaps, and uncover opportunities.

• Skilled in developing and refining target operating models.

• Ability to produce clear, concise reports and present complex information in a simplified manner.

• Familiarity with system architectures, APIs, data flows, and other technical concepts to effectively liaise between business and IT teams.
