Department Summary
Our global digital production teams at Hogarth are made up of over 600+ digital specialists in over 20 countries. We have digital strategy and consulting expertise, as well as full-lifecycle digital production expertise, across best-in-class platforms and solutions. Our digital production types of work covers campaign production, DCO, email production and marketing, web and platforms development, large-scale content operations and Web 3 and Metaverse production as well.
What does a Technical Business Analyst do at Hogarth?
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to engage with clients, analyse business needs, and translate them into clear functional requirements. You will play a key role in facilitating positive change, improving processes, and ensuring alignment between business goals and technical implementations. This role requires a combination of analytical, communication, and technical skills, as well as experience working in Agile environments.
Responsibilities
- Able to run workshops / engage with clients on calls to gain a deep understanding of the business needs.
- Able to convert these needs to a clear, specific, and actionable functional requirements.
- Able to analyse existing business processes & functions and recommend improvements.
- Fundamental Skills: time management, communication, problem solving, research.
- Business Analysis Skills: comprehension and documentation.
- Write comprehensive functional specifications, refined briefs, and user stories.
- Able to match raw business requirements with technical solutions.
- Data analysis: able to analyse and interpret data of processes or systems to define or improve recommendations.
- Functional definition: able to explain in detail how a given technical solution would meet a given business requirement.
- System analysis: able to analyse systems, processes, or requirements on a technical level to gain a deeper understanding of the correct solution.
Reporting lines and key stakeholders
This role reports to the Senior Technical Lead (London).
You will work closely with technical, project management and QA teams.
The Technical Business Analyst is accountable for all of the Business Analyst team members based across the 4 offices.
Requirements
- Advanced level Agile technologies and project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Miro).
- Strong ability to analyse business needs and translate them into technical specifications.
- Proficiency in data analysis to support business decision-making.
- Proven track record of working with web technologies, mobile applications, and web services.
- Experience with design tools (e.g. Figma).
- For design interrogation an advanced level of understanding of Figma, and other design tools.
- Knowledge of system integrations and APIs.
- Experience with CMS platforms is desired but not essential.
- Certification in business analysis is desired but not essential.
