As a Technical Product Manager (TPM) for DSP Platforms, you will play a pivotal role in aligning technical execution with product strategy for our DSP-based product family: all amplified controllers, the P1 AVB processor and measurement platform, the LS10 AVB network switch, and the LC16D network audio converter. You will serve as a technical liaison, conduct feasibility assessments, and manage risks to ensure efficient product development. Your responsibilities will include:

Technical Leadership and Liaison

  • Translate complex technical concepts related to amplification, DSP and embedded systems for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Convey product visions and customer requirements to the engineering team.
  • Conduct regular meetings, documentation, and workshops.
  • Ensure technical implementation aligns with strategic goals and roadmap.

Feasibility Assessment

  • Work closely with the R&D team to understand technical constraints specific to amplification, DSP and embedded systems.
  • Analyze technical architecture and assess new feature complexity.
  • Balance innovation with practicality, ensure that the proposed solutions are technically sound, achievable within the given timeframe, and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Drive the prioritization of product backlogs, align them with both customer needs and technical feasibility.

Risk Management

The TPM is also responsible for identifying and mitigating technical risks and challenges throughout the product lifecycle. This proactive approach includes:

  • Manage dependencies between different teams.
  • Address technical debt and anticipate potential roadblocks.
  • Develop strategies to minimize risks, such as creating contingency plans, prioritizing critical tasks
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues promptly.
  • Continuously monitor the development process and adjusting plans as necessary, to ensure that the product remains on track and that any disruptions are swiftly addressed thereby safeguarding the product's integrity and timely delivery.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage and maintain product roadmaps, ensure they reflect evolving strategic objectives and technical capabilities.
  • Provide technical leadership in problem-solving to internal teams and customers during the product growth phase, ensuring high performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the transition and execution of end-of-life (EOL) plans, ensuring minimal disruption and a smooth transition for customers and stakeholders.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge in DSP, electronics, and embedded systems.
  • Experience in audio technology is a strong plus.
  • Priority management.
  • Knowledge of Scrum.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Engineering degree in electronics and computer science, possibly in audio.
  • Good communication skills.
