Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, the Technical Services Manager (TSM) is responsible for managing the high standard of operational services in mechanical, electrical and public health systems at 110 Bishopsgate, ensuring consistent, seamless and efficient standards are met, to ensure Client's, Occupiers and their visitors can focus on their core business.

The delivery of services objective is to provide maximum customer satisfaction, by fostering strong and long-lasting working relationships with stakeholders. The TSM will familiarise themselves with the Building and Client's sustainability strategy in order to actively manage the energy and building performance to deliver optimised energy efficiencies and provide reporting that demonstrates compliance and achievements.

The TSM will have experience in delivering engineering excellence through robust asset management frameworks such as ISO55001 and be responsible for the development of engineering policies, strategies and implementation plans that meet the building needs and exceed occupier expectations.

The TSM will ensure that the MEP service partners perform as a cohesive team reflecting the vision and ambition of the Client. The role requires the effective management of these partners to provide the services within the scope, budget and in accordance with their contractual obligations, service level agreements and key performance indicators.

This role is key to the successful development and support of our Client's and Occupier's business. As the TSM, you will assist the General Manager and Client with technical advice, leadership and guidance, based on your strong knowledge and experience within the industry. Not only will your support and advice be based on your excellent knowledge of industry standards, guidance and best practice, your understanding and practical experience of how buildings are designed, operated and used will deliver pragmatic solutions to the Building and our Client's challenges.

Sharing knowledge is key in enabling our service partners, engineers and occupiers to provide the very best solutions.

Excellent report writing and communications skills are required and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues is essential. A working knowledge on the following services is vital:

  10. Fire systems
  11. Air conditioning systems
  12. Water Hygiene of Closed and Domestic Systems
  13. Building Management Systems
  14. Energy Management Systems
  15. IoT and SMART applications
  16. Compliance - Statutory / Regulatory / Codes / Building Regulations
Qualifications

You would have worked within the building services industry for 15 years or more and be conversant with industry standards relating to building services operations from such organisations as BSRIA, CIBSE etc.

You will continue to keep up to date with all industry standards, best practice and guidance.

You will familiarise yourself with all new publications relevant to building services operations, maintenance, asset management and sustainability and provide training and advice to the rest of the business unit. Hold membership of at least one relevant industry body and ensure continued professional development in appropriate areas if required.

Be committed to supporting and assisting the Building, Client and our Occupier organisations in their Net Zero Carbon roadmaps.
