Technical Solution Consultant at Alfa

Alfa has a number of opportunities in smart, diverse and growing teams working in a product-led software delivery company. This includes opportunities for technical solution consultants working on client sites, remotely, or in London in the UK.

You will be using leading-edge technologies to deliver our flagship software platform, Alfa Systems, to Alfa's customers in all areas of the asset finance industry across the globe. You will combine consultancy and technical skills to define and implement innovative solutions to our client's exacting requirements using a broad range of technologies and tools.

Purpose

Alfa offers a wide spectrum of roles, including solution architecture, development management and implementation. You will work effectively as part of a team, implementing our leading software at banks and finance companies. The job involves working with Alfa colleagues, customers and implementation partners to see challenges through from start-to-finish.

Overview

The Technical Solution Consultant is responsible for technical consulting and configuration of the Alfa Systems software with our customers. This individual will lead on technical implementation components of implementation, from design, configuration, to testing and integration. This role encompasses client meetings, solutions documentation and platform configuration.

Responsibilities

Your specific responsibilities will depend on your role and your experience on joining Alfa. Activities as a Technical Solution Consultant typically include:

• Consult with clients to gather business and technical requirements through onsite and remote meetings
• Align requirements to product functionality, offering best practice and scalable solutions along the way
• Supporting customer configuration of the Alfa Systems' platform to meet their business requirements
• Interact with diverse client IT teams on various technical topics such as system integration
• Provide technical design consulting for API-based integrations
• Collaborate with colleagues across Alfa to foster a team-oriented, customer-focused environment
• Supervising, mentoring and coaching more junior colleagues and implementation partners
• Managing the application release processes both internally and with the customer alongside supporting Alfa's hosting service which deploys our solution securely in the AWS public cloud
• Delivering training to clients, colleagues and implementation partners
• Pre-sales support delivering proofs of concepts and responding to functional & technical elements of RFIs/RFPs

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of related IT transformation project delivery experience
• Experience with configuring and implementing software applications
• Problem-solving aptitude and good analysis skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Broad technical awareness
• Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and drive
• Strong attention to detail
• Commitment to knowledge sharing
• Basic experience with coding in Java or other object oriented language (such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, Rust) desirable, to aid solution design and troubleshooting
