We are looking for a Scrub Theatre Practitioner to join our Theatre department. The Portland Hospital is currently rated "Good" by the CQC and is part of the established leading private healthcare company, HCA Healthcare, which has been established for over 50 years.

The Portland Hospital is the only private hospital in the UK dedicated to the healthcare of women and children, and we are the UK's largest private children's hospital with over 46 paediatric beds including a 10-bed intensive care unit, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a day case unit. We care for over 40,000 children a year, providing treatment for everything from general paediatric conditions to complex craniofacial reconstruction. We have over 175 paediatric consultants available to treat children from newborn up to the age of 18.

As the only fully private maternity hospital in the UK, delivering over 1,600 babies a year, we place great importance on providing safe and high-quality care for expectant mothers. Both consultant-led and midwife-led maternity care is available, and our aim is to provide you with all the support you need during pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond.

The five theatres at Portland provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advanced equipment and technology is second to none, including fully integrated and equipped theatres.

The theatre team comprises of Consultants and Practitioners who have vast experience and knowledge across a range of specialties. Many complex procedures are carried out daily across a range of acute specialties, including Gynae & Obstetrics, as well as general and paediatric surgery.

As a Scrub Theatre Practitioner, you will be working as part of a team to ensure a high standard of nursing care and safety for patients within the theatre unit. In addition, you will actively contribute to the maintenance of an environment that is conducive to the delivery and promotion of a high standard of patient care.

Our friendly team works closely together to adopt a supportive culture. We will work with you to ensure that you have the knowledge and skill to deliver exceptional care in a supportive environment that values your wellbeing.

What you'll bring:

  1. Current HCPC/NMC Registration
  2. Post graduate experience in Theatres
  3. 2 years Scrub Operating Theatre experience covering a wide range of specialties.
