As a Trainee Construction Supervisor, you will join the Building team's award-winning public-sector projects which have included Bath Spa University, the Royal London Hospital and Bristol schools.

What you'll do:

  1. Assisting in the daily control, management, and coordination of site activities
  2. Keeping a detailed diary of works planned and carried out by sub-contractors
  3. Ensuring our sub-contractors are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and checking they understand what is required
  4. Contributing to site progress meetings
  5. Building positive working relationships with sub-contractors
  6. Solving issues on site and monitoring risks
  7. Ensuring health & safety is adhered to, including site inspections, and conducting site inductions.
  8. Ensuring that all relevant paperwork is received, reviewed and communicated where necessary
  9. Logging and resolving any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas
  10. You will be involved in all aspects of construction project delivery from concept design, through to construction, commissioning, validation handover and into operation.

What you'll bring to the role:

  1. You will need to hold 5 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 including Maths and English. You will ideally hold a level 3 qualification (A levels, BTEC or their equivalent)
  2. You should enjoy working with other people
  3. Enthusiasm to learn and proactive approach to work
  4. Passion for construction and making a difference
  5. New ideas to help us innovate and work better

What qualification will you be studying towards?

Initially, you will be studying a level 4 qualification in Construction Management at a nominated local college or University, with the option to progress to a level 6 qualification afterwards.
