Trainee Pension Management Consultant

United Kingdom

Barnett Waddingham is a leading independent UK professional services consultancy advising on risk, pensions, investment and insurance. With over 1700 people across 10 offices, our core purpose is based around empowering people to secure better futures. We are a sustainable and thriving client and people focused organisation, committed to doing the right thing.

We are wholly owned by Partners so we can take a longer-term view. We are dependent on talented and well-trained employees who enjoy working for a leading organisation in a closely knit and friendly team. To achieve this - and further support our continued growth we are looking for talented, motivated and enthusiastic individuals who value the chance to join our 2-year Graduate Programme in our Board Management Services (BMS) team.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive firm, underpinned by our core behaviours: building relationships, finding solutions, and delivering impact.

We have a supportive structure in place to help you manage your work/life balance. Increasing our talented workforce is imperative to maintaining a proactive and competitive business, which is why our study support package and dedicated training team are always on hand for guidance throughout our graduate programme and beyond.

Our BMS Consultant graduate programme is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with us after university. Our graduates develop a broad, transferable skillset which covers both technical and consulting matters. You will also have opportunities to work on a wide range of projects and to develop your softer skills.

Testimonials from Recent Graduates:

"Becoming a Graduate as a part of the BMS team has provided me with so many great opportunities and helped me become more confident in a professional environment. Barnett Waddingham have helped me utilise my existing strengths, as well as helping me improve and learn as I've grown through the graduate programme. Over a year after I began my journey on the graduate programme I now get to attend and participate in meetings with clients, which is an amazing experience. This role is a great chance to give something new that you never thought you could do, and I can't recommend it enough!"

"I joined the BMS team at Barnett Waddingham as a graduate in September 2023. In the 6 months I have been here I have been involved in a variety of projects ranging from client work to organising the Away Day for our team, and more recently I also had the opportunity to be involved in a firm-wide DEI initiative. This allowed me to gain skills and experience in different areas and learn from our experienced team. One of the most memorable moments has been being able to join a Trustee Board meeting as an observer only within my second week of joining the team. I found that everyone has been extremely welcoming, helpful, and supportive from the start, not only within the team but also among other business areas and the whole graduate intake, which has made this experience even more positive."
