Trusts, Foundations & Grants Officer (Part-time 0.6 pro-rata) Stonepillow

Help us combat homelessness! Secure grants from a range funders for Stonepillow to create lasting change in our community.

Who we are.

Founded in 1989, Stonepillow is a homeless charity for the Chichester and Arun Districts. We understand that there are infinite circumstances that may lead people to our doors, and we do not turn anyone away.

We support and empower homeless and vulnerable individuals to achieve sustainable independence. Through a range of services, including hostel accommodation, day centres and community outreach programmes, we are committed to addressing homelessness and related challenges across the region. As a charity, generating sustainable income is vital to ensuring we can continue and expand our life-changing work.

Our work is guided by our 5 Pillar value proposition:

  • Prevent: By working with ex-offenders, care leavers and hospitals, Stonepillow prevents homelessness through early intervention and stabilising tenancies.
  • Relieve: Stonepillow provides outreach services, day centre hubs for rough sleepers and vulnerably housed and basic needs such as showers, clothes washing and access to housing, food, and health services.
  • Recover: Offering 24/7 hostel accommodation, longer term supported housing and recovery services for those recovering from substance misuse and women's therapeutic services, Stonepillow addresses the immediate needs of individuals and connects them to tailored, trauma informed support services.
  • Resettle: Stonepillow helps individuals transition to independent housing, offering tenancy support and access to specialist accommodation.
  • Restore: Stonepillow fosters independence through education, skills training, volunteering and well-being activities, empowering clients to reintegrate into society. We also operate social enterprises and retail outlets that provide training opportunities for clients and generate valuable revenue to fund our services.
