Team/Role Overview:
The successful candidate will join the UK and Western Europe Domestic Payments team focusing on managing and driving Citi's Payments business in the UK and Western Europe. Sitting in Citi's Services business, the role involves the day to day management of a dynamic Payments business, ensuring full alignment with the regulatory environment and actively managing risks. You will be at the centre of a large network of partners coming together to deliver a market leading solution.
What you'll do:
- Play a leading role in the continuing management of Critical Business Services for Citi in the UK and Western Europe. UK Faster payments, BACS Credit Transfers and SEPA Credit Transfers ensuring a resilient end to end flow for Citi's clients.
- Act as the business lead for the clearing attestation and rulebook processes with the schemes.
- Lead on the ongoing management of third party partners following a structured framework to ensure strong performance and a robust control environment.
- Develop a strong understanding of the application architecture for business delivery and the end to end experience of clients when using Citi's solution.
- Scan the market for all regulatory developments and ensure Citi is well placed to execute against these requirements.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Play an active role in the UK and Western Europe Domestic payments team across all geographies.
What we'll need from you:
- Relevant experience and an in-depth understanding of domestic payments with experience in either the UK market or SEPA.
- Experience with partnership management, business development planning.
- Ability to apply ingenuity and creativity to problem analysis and resolution for complicated and/or unique situations.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels, with a focus on risk management, compliance and scheme liaison.
- Experience in assessing, documenting and managing business risk as part of a product organisation.
- Ability to work as part of a team, with a high degree of collaboration with cross functional teams.
