The Team

The Craneware Group are looking for talented individuals that are excited about working with Big Data technology to drive improvements in the US-based healthcare market. We are growing a team of strong thinkers and innovators that are willing to work closely with product and customer-facing teams to design and develop new applications in the Cloud.

We are expanding our current platform and SaaS product offerings by using cutting-edge technology to process very large data sets that will provide actionable insights for our customers. Architecting our solutions with a best of breed approach to technology.

Are you looking to up your game and get into some serious software design? Interested in designing data-heavy B2B applications from scratch? We've got that in spades We've got a growing team of UX designers and researchers responsible for a suite of over a dozen SaaS products aimed at the business side of US healthcare. We're looking for solid UX designers who can contribute to our team, as well as our products.

You Will Be
  • Helping to embed a user-centered ethos at Craneware and ensure all products have the user at their heart.
  • Evaluating and distilling complex requirements from an array of internal and external stakeholders to help create clear, user-centered project visions.
  • Supporting conversations and co-creation workshops, e.g. Design Sprints, with multi-disciplinary teams to help drive Craneware products forward.
  • Collaboratively creating early concepts and prototypes to test initial ideas and direction.
  • Creating appropriate UX deliverables for the project at hand e.g. low and high fidelity wireframes, clickable prototypes, personas, user journeys etc.
  • Designing elegant and intuitive journeys that help users make sense of complex data and regulation.
  • Working with your fellow UXers to ensure all Craneware products offer consistent and intuitive journeys to all users.
  • Working collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and analysts to ensure every product's vision is brought to life and meets the needs of its users.
You Will Bring Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Craneware products, systems, and processes.
  • Exposure to planning and facilitating discovery and co-creation workshops with customers and internal stakeholders e.g. Design Sprints.
  • Basic understanding of web technologies (object-oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS), and experience with the latest web standards including HTML5 and CSS3.
Skills
  • Comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences.
  • Passion for innovation, human-computer interaction, and seamless user experiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas to a range of audiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
  • A strong interest in design, technology, and trends, with an eye toward the future.
Experience
  • 3+ years working within a UX role either in a customer-side or agency setting.
  • Experience in all of the areas of UI design, visual design, or UX design with strong experience in at least one.
  • Experience interpreting and disseminating project requirements from multiple sources.
  • Experience creating UX deliverables including wireframes, clickable prototypes, personas, user journeys etc.
  • Experience in UX and accessibility best practices.
  • Experience in planning and facilitating usability testing sessions both face to face and remotely.
  • Experience in a variety of design/wireframing/prototyping tools, e.g. Axure, Sketch, UX Pin etc.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams of designers, product managers, developers etc.
