Job Description

Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is looking to hire an ambitious and talented Valuations Manager in London. This is a very exciting opportunity for career growth, as you will gain experience advising on valuation matters across different deal stages and support a wide range of both domestic and international clients. You will also be advising within several different areas such as transaction pricing, fund reporting, fairness opinions, expert witness service, and financial reporting (including purchase price allocations).

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  1. Acting as project manager for the engagement including day-to-day contact with the client, understanding the client's needs, and drafting effective storyboards.
  2. Attending client meetings and leading/presenting sections of work with clarity and impact.
  3. Taking responsibility for the quality of deliverables, clearly linking findings to the valuation model and explaining key drivers in the report.
  4. Directing the way the team will be managed and coached during projects including ensuring appropriate objectives are agreed.
  5. Full ownership and responsibility for delivering comprehensive written reports tailored to the client's specific needs and requirements on the project.
  6. Using own initiative and sound judgement to identify key issues and client needs, developing suggested solutions, and consulting with other team members as required.
  7. Building and reviewing financial and valuation models of various complexity levels.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:

  1. Valuation experience, ideally gained in a professional services commercial valuations environment.
  2. Understanding of the range of valuation methodologies including discounted cash flow and capitalised earnings methods.
  3. Strong quantitative and Excel/modeling skills.
  4. Excellent attention to detail with an ability to deliver high-quality presentations and analysis.
  5. Strongly rated self-starter who demonstrates initiative, confidence, and solid influencing skills.
  6. Proven track record of building and maintaining lasting internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  7. Strong project management skills and demonstrable ability to deliver high-quality work.
